February 2018

Dear SEYDEL friend!

This is the newsletter from C.A. SEYDEL SÖHNE where we keep you informed about all of the latest harmonica happenings.

Register now for the SEYDEL open 2018 Blues Harmonica Contest

Every harmonica-player is also an artist, but not everybody has a band to play live. Therefore once in a year SEYDEL offers the chance to all players to present themselves live on stage together with a professional accompanying band. For your rehearsals we again offer 10 brandnew free playback tracks played by the SEYDEL open Band.

We are happy to announce "Little Roger & the Houserockers" as this year's SEYDEL open-Band. Just listen to the brandnew playback tracks and use them for your rehearsals.

The SYMPHONY Grand Chromatic - also well suited for playing the Blues!

In >this video you hear and see harmonica ace and SEYDEL endorser Mark Hummel talking about the SYMPHONY Grand Chromatic!

The SYMPHONY is the first 16-hole chromatic harmonica with stainless steel reeds: The SYMPHONY Grand Chromatic is a professional chromatic harmonica with uniquely-inspired technical developments that sets new standards in terms of sound, airtightness, playability, and reliability.

The SYMPHONY Grand Chromatic is available in two variants:

  • with aluminium body and trapezoidal-shaped mouthpiece = variant 'ALU' or
  • with a transparent-green acrylic body and halfmoon-shaped mouthpiece = variant 'ACRYL'
  • comes with two different sliders to adopt the instrument to your individual playing style

Both variants will be shipped with a specially developed Heatable Case and accessories.

The highest and lowest tuned Blues Harmonicas in the world are made by SEYDEL exclusively

After the introduction of the low tuned 1847 Low models last year we now expand the tonal range of our 1847 Blues models with Stainless Steel reeds. We added the following high keys: HG, HAb, HA, and HBb.

The thickness of the combs of the 1847 CLASSIC and NOBLE High models is adopted to their high pitch. High-tuned models have a thinner comb than usual. This new soprano-design influences the overall playability very positively.

Therefore the 1847 CLASSIC and NOBLE models are now available in 31 different key variants ranging from double low E (LLE) up to high Bb (HBb) - world record!

Musical greetings from the oldest harmonica makers in the world!
