Charlie Slavik

Charlie is the most highly regarded harmonica player in the Czech Republic and winner of a Czech Bluegrass Association award.

His ability to play the harmonica across genres has contributed to his playing as a solist on numerous recordings.

In 2012, he became the only Czech musician in history to ever participate in the prestigious International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, where he went into the semi-finals, as well as in the European Blues Challenge (EBC) in Berlin.

In addition to his playing, he is a sought after lecturer for musicians´ workshops. The proof of his quality is, that he was chosen as the opening act for his musical role model, the legendary harmonica player, Charlie Musselwhite, during Musselwhite´s only concert in the Czech Republic.

Charlie Slavík has traveled throughout the Mississippi Delta several times and has managed to fulfill his life´s dream to play landmark clubs in Memphis, Nashville and Chicago. On Czech and international stages, you can see and hear Charlie Slavík as a featured musician for African-American soul-blues singer Juwana Jenkins, as a special guest of jump blues band St. Johnny , and, from 2013, as front-man for his new project, the Charlie Slavík Revue.
