Jarno Varsted

For two decades Berlin based Danish native Jarno Varsted has been pushing his harmonica driven blues and rock n roll to the people, through his work as a solo artist and with numerous bands and artists.

Although his music relates to blues and folk tradition, his approach is rebellious and always pushing the boundaries.

In 2017 he released his second solo LP 'New Songs For Harmonica'. The record is a collection of songs featuring only voice and harmonica, showcasing Jarno ́s unique timing and control of this rare discipline, perfected over years of touring as a one man band.

Some songs pay tribute to the founding fathers of the tradition and some lift the listener far into the future of blues music. Jarno´s music is unlike any other you will find in this day and

Don ́t miss it!

Here are some reviews:

Jarno Varsted: NEW SONGS FOR HARMONICA Review by Allan E Petersen 'Rootzone'

"Varsted´s new album starts almost like an engine, after a while you recognise the sounds as those of a harmonica. Unbelievable that it is possible to get tones like this from such a small instrument!

As a matter of fact, I have never heard anything like it and I guess that is not the worst to be said about new music. Experimental and always pushing the limits!"

Jarno Varsted: NEW SONGS FOR HARMONICA Review by Jakob Wandam bluesnews.dk

"People who think all blues sounds the same should do themselves a favour and give 'New Songs For Harmonica' the second solo album from Jarno Varsted a listen. It simply does not sound like anything else. 'New Songs For Harmonica' is a deep and deeply original take at the blues genre and an appealing demontration of Jarno Varsted´s diversity on the instrument."

Jarno Varsted ABOUT SEYDEL

"I am very proud to be working with a company as esteemed and righteously so as SEYDEL. I love my 1847´s. They have the sweetest tone, come in tune, they stay in tune and never let you down."
