Charlie Slavik

In 2012, he became the only Czech musician in history to ever participate in the prestigious International Blues Challenge (IBC) in Memphis, where he went into the semi-finals, as well as in the European Blues Challenge (EBC) in Berlin.

In addition to his playing, he is a sought after lecturer for musicians´ workshops. The proof of his quality is, that he was chosen as the opening act for his musical role model, the legendary harmonica player, Charlie Musselwhite, during Musselwhite´s only concert in the Czech Republic.

Charlie Slavík has traveled throughout the Mississippi Delta several times and has managed to fulfill his life´s dream to play landmark clubs in Memphis, Nashville and Chicago. On Czech and international stages, you can see and hear Charlie Slavík as a featured musician for African-American soul-blues singer Juwana Jenkins, as a special guest of jump blues band St. Johnny, and from 2013, as front-man for his new project, the Charlie Slavík Revue.
