Russell Huffer

Born in Houston, Texas and raised in Houston, Oklahoma City, and Indianapolis, Russell Huffer absorbed the music of Chicago based harp blowers such as James Cotton, Junior Wells, and Sonny Boy Williamson II, at a young age while living in Indianapolis, Indiana. Russell specializes in Blues, Funk, Rock, and Soul. At the age of 17 he discovered his love for the harmonica and the blues.
Russell has honed his harmonica chops by cutting his teeth on the big stages with Harmonica Greats such as Billy Branch, Jason Ricci, R.J. Mischo, and Deak Harp. He first made his big debut on the harmonica scene by performing at the 2013 Harmonica Collective held in Indianapolis, Indiana. Russell and his former group, The Huffer Blues Band, kicked off the week long harmonica seminar with a scorching hot set loaded with amped up Chicago & Delta Blues.
Russell's unique tongue block style using big chords, octaves, aggressive attack, and triplets, in addition to his catchy and sweet phrasing, is paving the way for harmonica players worldwide in his generation. A true bluesman, Russ intends to set the standard high with his upcoming Blues band which will be touring all over the United States and in the future, worldwide.
