Douglas Tate (Renaissance) und Chris Collis (Piano)

This CD is a rare chance to hear the sound of the Renaissance harmonica being played by its creator, Douglas Tate.

A charity recital given by Douglas Tate (Renaissance harmonica) and Chris Collis (piano) at St. Peters churche in November 2004.

Throughout the evening they both stressed the pleasure they took in playing as two soloists supporting each other?s music and neither ?accompanying? the other. There are some solo pieces from both artists as well as several works for harmonica and piano together.

With 19 tracks of music by composers from Villa-Lobos to James Moody, Gershwin to Chopin, this is a very listenable collection indeed.
