small:Ben Henry Edwards Ben Henry Edwards Ben has been a professional musician specializing in the performance and teaching of the harmonica and percussion for the last eight years. He studied music at Brunel University, London gaining a music diploma and a 2:1 BA Hons degree in Popular Music. He studied harmonica (the first in Brunel’s history) under the guidance of Brendan Power(!). Benjamin has been involved for 4 years with Live Music Now! and won a Youth Music award for his performance and education work with the project ‘Klektivo’ at the Vinny Green Secure Unit, Bristol. Benjamin studied West African percussion in Mali, France and London and has worked with Burkina Faso griot Baba Kone in his band ‘Jeli Masa’ for 3 years. Living in London, Benjamin continues to work as a session harmonicist for record labels, radio and TV work. Recent tours include supporting Peter Gabriel (Real World Records) and Tom Baxter (EMI) with >Charlie Winston ("Like a Hobo", Real World Records, Atmospherique. Finally Ben found out about the SEYDEL harmonicas and plays on the new SAXONY Chromatic as well as on the Blues 1847 CLASSIC harmonicas, which became his favorite harmonicas: "Just excellent. I had my first gig tonight with my London blues band (with my new set of SEYDEL harmonicas). It was great to play them. I love how I can play hard with them."
