In 1898 Seydel produced the legendary 'Bandmaster' for the
first time, which had funnel shaped covers opened in two
directions.
The Diatonic Richter Harmonicas as well as the Octav Models were also manufactured in that design style.
Newspapers warned of companies that made illegal copies of it.
Up to the 1990s the Bandmaster was made in many different ways -
however, no model was as legendary as the Original shape with the two
waves.
Specially tuned instruments called 'Highland Chimes' or 'God save the King' went to England.
