Stephen Hanner

Music has always been a part of Stephen Hanner’s  life. He was first introduced to the harmonica at the age of 8. He tried his hand at multiple instruments until the age of 13. After his father's death, he set his sights on one thing, a career as a professional harmonica musician. Having background in multiple genres, he uses the speed and intensity of bluegrass, the lonesome wail of country, and the soul and grit of the blues, making Stephen one of the most well rounded, dynamic, & versatile harmonica players today.
By the age of 18, he was performing at numerous Nashville venues and even had the opportunity to perform with Mr. BB King himself. Over the last decade, Stephen has toured the US as well as Europe and performed with both country and blues acts, including The Delta Saints, LoCash, Kenny Neal, and Charlie Daniels, while also maintaining his presence in the Nashville studio scene as a session musician. He currently records and  performs with various Nashville artists, most frequently, The Corey Mac Show, NBC's The Voice Contestant, Preston James, as well as his all original project set to launch in the Summer of 2017.
Stephen is a three time 1st place award winner of Tennessee’s, Uncle Dave Macon Days, DeFord Bailey Bluegrass Harmonica Competition and has also represented Nashville multiple times in Memphis for the International Blues Competition.

This is what Stephen was telling us about his SEYDEL instruments: “From the first moment I played a SEYDEL harp, I could instantly see, feel, and hear the difference. The craftsmanship, as well as playability, is like none other. By far, the best harmonica I’ve ever played
