Kay Steffens

Kay Steffens (born August 21, 1969) is a German front man, singer, Blues harp player, session and concert organizer. In the Blues and
Jazz scene also known as "K.T.". He still stands for the Blues.
Until 1997 he worked as a musician in the Ruhr area. In 1997 he moved to Hanover, where he continued his activities. He played and plays in different formations or as a guest musician.
In 1999 he founded the band "K.T. & Midnight Cannonball" and later the Trio "Boogie Rockets" with the pianist Niels von der Leyen and drummer Andreas Bock. His latest projects are called "Kay Steffens & The Blues and Boogie Maniacs" with Daniel Paterock (pi) and Ralf Nackowitsch (dr; Memo Gonzales & The Bluescasters), "Kay Steffens & The Blues and Boogie Company" with Jan Hite (gi), Ralf Nackowitsch (dr) and Bernd Kuchenbecker (b), as well as the boogie duo "Kay Steffens & Christian Christl" (pi).
For example, Kay Steffens became known as a harp player through appearances with Danny Bryants Redeyeband (GB) or Carvin Jones Band
(UNITED STATES).
With his band "K.T. & Midnight Cannonball", he recorded his first CD "Jump Lesson" in 1997. In 2004 the CD "Knock Me A Kiss" was released.
Both received good reviews in the German, Austrian and the Scandinavian press.
