Vadim Mitko

Vadim Mitko was born on April 25th, 1988, in Stolin, Belarus. He does not have a degree in music, but he has very closely linked his life with music. He moved to Gomel (Belarus), and in 2011, after graduating from his university, Vadim became interested in harmonica. As of today, he has already established himself as a talented musician.
Vadim is positive, purposeful, and full of energy, which reflects on his performance.
He is currently playing with his own project called Place to Be (Belarus) and also participates in other projects as a session live and studio performer.
He takes part in performances and international contemporary dance festivals with the Quadro team. He participated in the 10th “Guitar Renaissance” International Competition and was awarded the “Grand Prix”.
Vadim has chosen blues as the vector of his development in music, but, being a session musician, he managed to show himself in other genres, such as folk, jazz, and funk.
He enjoys riding his bicycle, travelling, visiting Belarusian villages, and meeting interesting people.
“My favourite harmonica is the 1847 classic with stainless steel reeds. It has a rich tone and a really great sound!”
Here’s what Boris Plotnikov said about Vadim: “Vadim Mitko is a very innovative young harmonica player from Belarus. He has prominent articulation, a deep understanding of rhythm, and extremely melodic style.”
