1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model

Details "1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model"

Pure stainless steel power and pure blues soul: the 1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model.
This very special version of the 1847 LIGHTNING is more than just a harmonica with a signed coverplate. SEYDEL endorser Charlie Musselwhite is more than just a well-known musician.
Based on the popular base model of the 1847 product line, the 1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model is an exceptional instrument for blues lovers and harmonica players, as well as for collectors and Charlie Musselwhite fans.

At the age of 18, Charlie moved to Chicago, the city of the blues, in 1962 and quickly became part of the vibrant blues scene. Harmonica legend Big Walter Horton soon took him under his wing. Over time, Charlie played with Muddy Waters, Howling Wolf, and John Lee Hooker, to name just a few. Over the course of his long career, he has recorded over 20 albums of his own and contributed to numerous recordings by well-known colleagues. Numerous accolades - including 14 W.C. Handy Blues Awards, induction into the “Blues Hall of Fame” in 2010, and a Grammy for his album “Get Up!”, which he recorded with Ben Harper - demonstrate the high regard and recognition he enjoys in the American and international blues scenes.

The 1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model is available exclusively in the key of G in the Signature Box. As Charlie himself says: “It’s the one I always play, always.”
In addition to the harmonica, the Signature Box includes a necklace with a Charlie Musselwhite metal pendant, a Signature cleaning cloth, a sticker, and a greeting card.

Furthermore, the Signature Model offers all the advantages of the 1847 LIGHTNING:

  • brilliant sound thanks to the polished stainless steel reeds
  • quick response and low air consumption thanks to precision fine-cutting technology for the channels in the reedplate
  • 100% corrosion-free thanks to the use of stainless steel for the reeds, coverplates, screws, rivets, and German silver reedplates
  • wide-open coverplates with side vents flanged edges and without brace for undamped sound projection
  • sturdy and precisely manufactured comb made of solid, polished stainless steel

We at SEYDEL are proud to present the 1847 LIGHTNING Charlie Musselwhite Signature Model.
