SAILOR

Details "SAILOR"

The SAILOR is our double-sided tremolo harmonica in Richter tuning.

In a tremolo harmonica, two reeds with slightly different tuning sound simultaneously for each note, creating the distinctive pulsating tremolo effect that is reminiscent of a Styrian accordion.

Its characteristic sound is a defining element of many folk music traditions. The SAILOR is equally suited for playing melodies and accompaniment. Using the tongue-blocking technique, it is even possible to combine melody and accompaniment at the same time.

  • powerful sound thanks to 48 stainless-steel reeds with a wet (=strong) tremolo effect
  • fast response and low air consumption thanks to the split polymer comb and exceptionally airtight construction
  • excellent playing comfort with ergonomically shaped cover plates
  • 100% corrosion-free thanks to the use of stainless-steel reeds, cover plates, screws, rivets, and German silver reed plates

The SAILOR is ideal for Alpine folk music, Irish folk, Appalachian folk, sea shanties, Balfolk, Pelimanni (Finnish folk music), and many other musical styles.
